Wrinkle treatment
Wrinkle treatment is an advanced cosmetic procedure that effectively reduces visible wrinkles and provides smoother, more youthful skin. The treatment blocks nerve impulses to small facial muscles, which prevents muscle contractions and smoothes the skin. The results are visible within a few days and last for about three months. After a consultation with a doctor, a botulinum toxin injection treatment may be recommended for optimal results.

Causes
Hereditary factors play a major role. Skin type is determined by our genes.
We know that smoking inhibits and destroys the fine small blood vessels that nourish the skin, and it is not unexpected that smokers develop wrinkles faster than non-smokers.
In addition to ageing, the sun's rays are the most important skin-degrading factor. Both UVA and UVB rays from the sun create changes in the subcutaneous tissue which, over time, cause the skin to become thinner.
Long-term effects and skin improvement
When the muscles relax after wrinkle treatment, the stress on the skin is reduced. This gives the skin time to repair itself. Over time, this can lead to increased production of collagen, a protein that makes the skin stronger and more elastic. The result is smoother and more youthful skin. Long-term use of wrinkle treatment can therefore improve the skin's appearance in both the short and long term.
During treatment
Treatment is carried out by the doctor, where we first go through a health check and then carry out the treatment. We answer any questions you may have so that you have a good overview of the treatment carried out. Injection is mostly used to treat wrinkles in the forehead, gabella between the eyebrows and around the eyes. It can also be used to treat other areas of the face, such as the chin, corners of the mouth and neck.
How Wrinkle Treatment Works
Wrinkle treatment reduces wrinkles by blocking signals from nerves to muscles. When the treatment is injected into small facial muscles, it prevents a chemical messenger called acetylcholine from being released. Acetylcholine is necessary for the muscle to contract. Without this signal, the muscle relaxes and the overlying skin becomes smoother. The effect is usually felt within a few days and lasts for about three months before a second treatment is necessary

After treatment
To ensure the best possible results and your comfort, it is recommended to follow these important instructions after the treatment. Avoid touching or massaging the treated area for at least 24 hours after the injection. Avoid intense physical activity and heavy training for 24 hours after the treatment. Try to keep your head up and avoid lying down for at least 4 hours after the treatment. Avoid putting pressure on the treated area for at least 4 hours after the treatment. Avoid alcohol and medicines that can thin the blood for at least 24 hours after the treatment. Avoid exposure to intense sunlight, solariums and saunas in the first 24 hours after the treatment. It usually takes a few days to start working. Be patient, and don't expect immediate results. Full effect may take up to 1-2 weeks.
Follow-up
We recommend planning a follow-up interview during the first weeks after the treatment. This gives us the opportunity to assess the results and make any necessary adjustments.
